I like bright colours.

Ah, Mivvies. That takes me back. :)

Rockets were cool too.

Stone Roses released their first single in 21 years yesterday, it's a goody:

Groovy for sure . . . still a miserable shower though . . . and Ian Brown's barnet's gone a funny shade of grey - looks like a weird metal helmet. He needs to get some highlights. Huh?

Sounds like a b-side or an album track to me

If this is the single- the album won't be up to much...

Yep.

Not too bad - and a welcome return.

I saw them at Alexandra Palace.

However, segue with:

Yep, "Wild Horses".

Had a listen to "Walk With Me". Good stuff!

Sounds like you had a blast - nice memories.

Cheers for taking a ganders :)

It makes me think of the line from Joey Fagan in The Commitments:

Sure we could have been famous and made albums and stuff, but that would have been predictable. This way it's poetry.

Yes.

I have that CD. :)

This is why I love YouTube so much because it's full of gems like this.

Also just heard Eva Cassidy's version of The Water Is Wide on her album American Tune. It's the kind of song I can play over and over.

Me too but that song isn't even on that cd!

I didn't think it was but I didn't like to say.

The one I play a lot is Vapour Trail. :S

The Carpenters were great.

I have their greatest hits. The only people between that one and my Clash albums are Carter USM, Eliza Carthy, Johnny Cash, Mama Cass, Nick Cave, Chairmen of the Board, Chang Gui Duo, Manu Chao, Harry Chapin, Tracy Chapman, Charlatans, Ray Charles, Cheap Trick, Chic, Chieftains, China Crisis, Ben Christophers and Clannad.

Carajo, the newish album by German punk band the Donots.
I say newish as its the English language version of their German language album Karacho. They've been on the go for twenty odd years and have always sung using English so when Karacho came out it sounded complete gibberish as though Stanley Unwin had taken up a career in rock music and that folks, is something I would have loved to have seen.

The first Runaways album.
