Have "Ukrainski Vistupi V Johna Peela" in my record collection, bought at the time as I saw the Weddos a lot.

Liked the two links - and there's still time for them to cure Mary Hopkin of stage fright so she can join them.

Nice and mournfully rousing.

I miss Peely. I'm sure you do too. Irreplaceable.

Yes I do.

He was one of the natural elements.

A bit like if there was a sort of weather that was only experienced after 10pm.

This one's for beaky.

Deerhoof - Last Fad

I saw Deerhoof many times when I lived in California. Love them.

I've got their last album. Any others you recommend?

Totally different, but just been getting into Courtney Barnett. The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas is really good.

You also might like Ryan Adams (Taylor Swift) cover album, 1989. I think it's incredible.

btw Wilco were in London yesterday. Didn't get to see them unfortunately.

Been getting into any new stuff?

I reckon the new Daughter album, due out in January, will be pretty amazing too, based on the first two singles.

Gotta love Autoplay.

I knew...although I don't normally care about the Eurovision Wrong Contest. But I found her really sexy, that's why I remember her. I'd still take Ruslana...you can have Conchita if you like. :P

This one's definitely my favourite so far! Nice tambourine action. Intriguing mix of the modern and historical. And sweeping camera moves over dazzling landscapes that leave you giddy with vertigo. Suck on that, Duran Duran!

Yeah, great video. Unfortunately they didn't film a sequence with her playing table tennis like Ted and Dougal did in the video to My Lovely Horse. Missed opportunity. :D

But I like her hair in this.

They certainly seem to have a thing about horses in that part of the world.

btw I had to Google Conchita. :)

Laughing out loud

I don't usually go for the Jesus look.

Yes, Jesus...or Dave Gahan circa 1992:

All that fire on stage....shouldn't it have been assessed for climate change?

In the days when even Spain came close to winning, they all had elaborate halos.

The bit that they never show you is the moment afterwards when it collapsed onto their heads.

This is becoming the "What are you letching to now?" thread. :D

But at least you included a hunky guy for zooo at the end. Very considerate.

I'm
Pretty sure that Wilco wrapped up their 2015 touring a few weeks ago. Are you sure it was them?

My favourite Deerhoof albums are Reveille and Apple O'.

Courtney Barnett is heavily influenced by Wilco. I've heard good things about Adams' cover of 1989. I need to check it out.
