I'm really sorry.

Are you kidding? I'm glad you reminded me of the album 'Blast'. I did own it on vynil (?) when I was a teenager circa 1990/1991. It was belonging to my best friend who tried to flog it on a flea market. In the end he gave it to me. They also showed the video to 'Americanos' on MTV at that time. So your post brought back many good memories.

Excellent!

Saw them about three times in the 60s.

Always worth getting in early to watch/listen to Joe Morello tune his drums and belt out a few solos!

An amazing album. I only ever discovered it due to getting into a taxi where the driver had impeccable taste in music.

A fair few blues artists have been posted recently. Suffice it to say that singer/guitarists Robert Nighthawk and Brownie McGhee were born on this day in 1909 and 1915 respectively. The former died in 1967 and the latter in 1996. The great singer of soul and pop psychedlia, Shuggie Otis, has also been posted. He is 70.

Following the birthday of Mary Travers, Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary has just turned 75. R and B star Luther Ingram was born on this day in 1937 and died in 2007. June Pointer of the Pointer Sisters would have been 60 had she not died in 2006. Des'ree is the main artist of the 1990s with a birthday. She's 45.
