Frankie Boyle's show will run through December. Peep Show lands on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, and they've got special Father Ted and Peep Show evenings, with new documentaries about the shows.

So nothing actually all that Christmassy.

Genuinely surprised (and disappointed) to see no Stephen K Amos Christmas special.

I can't imagine there will be too many who will feel the same. :D

Also don't they have the rights anymore for old Christmas specials of sitcoms, like OFAH and Some Mothers etc? If they can't make new Christmas specials then show some of the old classics, I'll watch them!

There are some OFAH episodes on daytime BBC1 during the week leading upto the big day. If you want nostalgic programming then I suggest BBC2. It will have plenty of comedy classics like Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise, Dad's Army, Blackadder, The Good Life too.

Also, GOLD is dedicating most of Christmas Day to OFAH.

They're showing 25 Christmas specials on the 25 days of December, on erm... GOLD? Dave? Something like that. [/helpful]

Should be good, it includes Outnumbered, Gavin and Stacey, Alan Partridge etc.

I shall be watching the Eric and Ernie stuff as I've always been a big fan. At least while they were at the Beeb.

I'm SUPER excited about Ronnie Corbett's show.

Saw some clips from Come Fly With Me Today.

Doesn't Matt Lucas play the "gay" very well.

Does anyone know when Ruth Jones drama of Hattie Jacques' life is on? I only have the weak powers of the internet to go by, but I can't find a trace of it anywhere!

I think that they were talking about filming it around now. That'd put broadcast at any point between February and ... well, a year from now.

Oh well, I think originally the Beeb said it would go out in Autumn/Winter so perhaps some time in the New Year. The New Year schedules always tends to be a bit barren after the gorging and feasting on TV snippets over Christmas.

Other than that, a whole load of The Goodies to look forward to.

Here is something very odd in the Christmas schedules - a comedy on Radio 3.

Channel 5 are repeating Christmas editions of Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads and Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em on Boxing Day and day after. It's a strange feeling watching shows with ad breaks when previously none existed :)

Absolutely nothing in the Christmas comedy schedules which I'm desperately excited about. :(

I'm looking forward to Little Britain at the Airport. Unimpressed

I'm looking forward to the Peep Show thing on Christmas Eve.

Oh, undoubtedly I'll be happily watching that (see other thread), I'm just saying I'm not "desperately excited" by it. (Try to keep up, Griff... Unimpressed)

:D
