Frankie Boyle's Tramadol Nights Page 27

Are you high?

My farts are funnier that.

And believe you me they're generally not considered funny.

Are you high?

I am, but it's purely coincidental :)

Well there's an advert for dope.

"It'll make you laff at Tramadol nights"

It won't. Believe me.

I laughed at the cookie monster.

The 'Cookie Monster' sketch is perhaps even funnier if you recall the corruption scandal surrounding a 2007 Blue Peter competition where kids were asked to suggest names for the show's new kitten.

The most popular suggestion was 'Cookie' but producers cheated viewers by telling them the most popular suggestion was 'Socks'.

As Frankie's sketch suggested, 'Cookie' is indeed an American slang term for the female parts and Blue Peter's embarrassed producers were aware of that.

After the corruption was uncovered, the show reluctantly obtained a second new kitten and called it . . . 'Cookie'.

Let's hear it for cookie power!

I cried at the cookie monster. I thought he was going to steal my biscuits

Dry your tears Big Bird wouldn't let him

My thoughts on Frankie Boyle (with a bit of Sadowitz and Stewart Lee thrown in) can be summed up in these two blogs. Hope you enjoy them.

The last two shows were excellent.

FRONT PAGE of the Daily Mirror today, headline "Boyle must be lanced". Apparently the words 'paki' and 'nigger' were used. Don't know in what context, haven't seen the latest show. Crikey!

EDIT

Ah, story here: http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/most-popular/2010/12/23/channel-4-urged-to-sack-comedian-frankie-boyle-in-race-jibe-row-115875-22801728/

I just wrote about this. I will post a link to the article when it goes online.

I think the 'p' word joke was a satirical gag that skewered the news quite well. I didn't hear the 'n' word joke. I thought him ranting about a "big black cock" would have been the thing to get people's goat up.

I'm with you 100% Ben. I think one of the problems with it is though, is that FB uses offensive language when he's NOT trying to make a point, just trying to offend. This then kind of negates the genuinely insightful stuff that he does. Shame.

I'm watching it at the moment this is just feeble, feeble, feeble

it isn't funny it's shock gag after shock gag

Akin to playing peekaboo with a baby until it gets bored

he just pinched one of my jokes!
