THE ABANDONED BACK OF INDIAN TAKE AWAY FOOD WOULD SEEM TO IMPLY THEY ARE THE TAKEAWAY DELIVERY MAN

Nice idea Sooty but I'm not sure what the connection is with the delivery food guy. I mean, I think I know what you're saying but I'm not sure if it makes the most sense. This could be because I don't know the setting of Black Ops. I'd like to see the idea expanded upon, there are plenty of horrors of war that could be dealt with under the realistic version a war game.

I liked this.

I think the point Scratchyr is that Black Ops are depicted in the game (at least in the adverts I have seen) as combat situations where the protagonist is facing difficult odds and great personal risk. In reality 'black ops' are more tawdry, less 'heroic' and often just plain nasty. Like waterboarding someone who has done nothing except be of a different ethnic group (not sure if the delivery boy was meant to be Asian, but that is sort of what I assumed).

I dunno if that helps - or is even accurate, but that's what I saw and thought was pretty strong.

While you could look at other aspects of war this new game focuses specifically on black ops so that would, in my view, weaken it.

Sooty maybe it would help if you said a bucket of water?

What Ponderer said.

What Nat said (sorry Ponderer!)

but you're all right, I think I'll add the bucket and make it clearer.

Tis what I thought then, thanks for catch up Ponderer. As you were Sootyj.

Sooty, you already have the bucket, add the bloody water (to the pouring bit).

However, this is really good stuff, satirising as it does both the gaming community and their craving for totally unrealistic realism and the tawdry (I do love that word) nature of our real black ops around the world.

The take-away link doesn't work for me but the idea is good. I'd make the victim his ethnic neighbour and open up with banter at the door about him buying another game and inviting the neighbour round later to try it out. The rest would be pretty much the same.
