Colditz - writing to die for Page 2

Only episode I've seen before about 20 years ago as part of a classic TV celebration. It's extremely vivid and lost none of its impact. I'm not familiar with the actor who played Marsh but it's a heartbreaking performance that could have been excruciating in the wrong hands (See Ben Stiller's Retard Jack in Tropical Thunder).

Just finished watching what would now be the Season 1 Finale, a terrific, largely silent episode which would not disgrace Jules Dassin, and Edward Hardwicke is so good.

The board game was pretty good too.

Except that no-one wanted to be the German!

Is that the Tweedledum one?

Tweedledum was a few episodes back, Michael Bryant excellent in the lead.

Hadn't occurred to me that it was largely silent and I was surprised to see its most famous star and one of the best actor dropped which is only a credit to the series .
Looking forward to Mc Callum's rivalry with Anthony Valentine who's a compellingly nasty piece of work.
