I can't stand the sort of show which seems to be designed to just fill up airtime with the same ole' same ole'. Things like 'Bargain Hunt', where we're supposed to be excited that the contestants have made a tenner, whilst ignoring the fact that the actual show must have cost 1000's of times more than that.

Two and a Half Men. Jersey Shore. Grey's Anamtomy. blech.
I really liked the first season of Grey's Anatomy, but after that I couldn't be bothered. The main female character is SO unsympathetic and meh.

A backslapping portrayal of a murderer, drug pusher, thief and adulterer by a second rate actor. Garbage.
I'm up to the third series of Greys Anatomy and I'm still enjoying it. I might treat myself to season 4 for Christmas!

Gandolfini maybe a secondrate actor but he made the role his own. Besides its the ensemble that made it work.
I wouldn't call it backslapping.
The Wire.
Soooooooo over rated. Ok the emphasis on criminal side was interesting, but a turgid collection of police type cliches. Hill Street Blues did it so much better decades ago.
I watch the occaisonal 5 minutes of Gays Anatomy and it always feels like an eternity,
