The Sitcom Mission 2011 Page 136

By the way, just a thought - you might want to make it clear that the picture on the front page, below the big banner 'Abigail and Emily win Sitcommission', of two happy looking women, ISN'T a picture of Abigail and Emily!

Review also on the BCG...

The same review?
I couldn't find it

Bizarre how this line:

"Having said that, the standard was high and getting higher."

was omitted from the Chortle version of the review.

Interesting. Rarely do the BCG and Chortle print the same article so it's interesting for me to see how our editing styles differ.

Hmm, a rather contradictory final paragraph from Mr Blake, the BCG's new 'Sitcom consultant'.

But congratulations to the victorious Abigail and Emma. A win's a win - 'fallow year' or not.

Have you been usurped Don?

A belated 'well done and congratulations' to Declan, Simon and all the finalists.

It was interesting to read Marc Blake's review of the gig. I hope The Sitcom Mission guys are preparing a detailed and candid blog on the big night. (It's best to go out with a bang - please don't pull your punches.)

My last comment on this thread is aimed at the aforementioned Marc B. Marc, just out of curiosity, did you script edit any of the Top 5?

Any other reviews out there?

A bizarre line that seemed slightly at odds with the rest of the review. Perhaps that's why Chorle cut it, to avoid having a slightly muddled review?

We've got a couple of meetings coming up, so I'm not going to write anything until after then. But after that I'll write a full review of the live show process. It would be interesting to hear the views of anyone else who attended (thanks to seascribe Venus for her earlier review, badge if you fancy writing one it would be good to have your opinion)

I believe he script edited on 'Eye Captain', but I'm not 100% certain.

News to come soon.

In the meantime... this is very good from a script reader.

It's very good but I don't agree about character names, the audience wants to know who is who. I always put the names just once for each character right at the beginning.
