Do you want your script reading or not?

It's okay. This weeks budget has had a knock on effect which means the planned Biodome construction will now not include an Orb of Enlightenment atrium.

Cheers Wayne, keep on rocking.

When we're reading a script, we're reading the author just as much as the work, so it helps if it's someone we can work with.

But I'm not drunk all the time :D

I never found it funny

Dec and I went to see a recording of Julie Bower's brilliant 49 Cedar St last night.

We produced the original stage version so it was great to see the Beeb pick it up.

Look out for the name. She is seriously talented.

I thought Kev F was responsible for this??

I think it's unreasonable to expect a list of the top 200.

Funny is funny irrespective of peoples tastes.

We just have to accept and learn that not everyone can win. I know what was wrong with mine. It just wasn't funny enough - and also there were outside scenes but could've been done quite easily I think. Anyway.....

I think I saw this one. It was when Declan and Simon were doing it in Kev's place.

Was it like the Hat Trick thing then?

Kev gave up the Sitcom Trials and D & S resurrected it.

49 Cedar Street was a finalist in The Sitcom Trials, in one of the seasons produced by Declan and Simon. I'd stopped running the Trials in 2006, D&S revived it in 2007, I returned to it in 2009, and D&S started the Sitcom Mission in 2010.

So Declan & Simon can take the credit for showcasing 49 Cedar Street, I just watched it.

Good little interview with Claire Broughton. Nice work Declan and Simon! Can we expect more thoughts from people in 'the business'?

I refuse to refer to you as D&S, sounds like you should be selling furniture at low LOW prices.

Incidentally, in my hometown of sunny Northampton there's a furniture company called The Sofa King, whose tagline thing is "Our prices are Sofa King low!". Genius.

I hope they have an endless stream of Sofa King specials...
