How about if I removed the centurion's line in the last panel? Would it make sense then?
I'd remove the dialogue from 2nd Panel.
It's a neat little strip, not the best but still pretty decent.
I still don't get it I'm afraid. May be too subtle for me

Yeah, that's the deal. I can see how the centurion's capper might have confused things though. Maybe I'll cement it by adding a dreamy haze filter to the first two panels.

I'd swap the speech bubble in the first pane, give the unisheep something else to say in the 2nd and keep the last one as it is.
Apart from that, it's fine. 
Oooh yes, what Nil said, and repeat the 'empty' pannel inserting it before the last.
