The last episode really was great. After one or two slightly sub-par episodes, it was a cracker. And when that last Zombie staggered out of the barn! I must be dumb because it took me by surprise. Good stuff.

Me too! Really cracking episode I thought. They're making the Shane story a lot more compelling than they did in the comic.

What makes Shane interesting for me is that he's not just crazed, he has a valid point. Underneath all the machismo and intimidation, his main focus is survival. You may think the cost of humanity is worth more than the cost of human life, but that's why you'd be the first to die in a zombie outbreak. Meanwhile I'd be barbecuing your haunches and drinking homemade gin from your hollowed out skull.
Yeah, Shane has a point, which is why people were starting to agree at the end. Things have changed, stop pussy-footing around. He's a more compelling character in the TV version so far than Rick, too.
Well that's what makes the writing so good, it's not black and white. The baddies have some good points, and the goodies are wrong about some things.
But numpty bollocks is still a dangerous weirdo who I wouldn't want to be in my zombie survival gang.
I miss it already. Waiting until feb is going to be torture.
