RIP Bob

My Goldfish died this week for reasons known only to Cod. He was only 2 years old. I am normally not bothered by such thing (as I am an emotionless twat most of the time) but, as he used to sit on the kitchen worktop (in his tank obviously), I find that everytime I go out to make a brew, I miss his little fish face.

Am I going soft in old age?

Whew, for a minute there I thought you were announcing the death of Bob Marley. Don't scare me like that!

No David, it was definetly a goldfish not a rasta that I found floating on top of the water.

Erectile disfunction often occurs later in life.

Aw. Poor Bob.
RIP.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo! Not Bob!!!!!! :(

Zooo and Ellie are nice girls (this won't stop me abusing them in the future however - once I get my heartless mojo back).

Nil - :D

R.I.P Bob.

When I was a kid, me and my mam used to have a goldfish each. She had the same one for about 2 years, whereas I went through about six. From then on I was never allowed to name the goldfish. :(

So Bob was just sort of bobbing on the surface? Like a bobber?

I thought it was Carolgees.

Poor Bob. One of our fish died last week, and I did a cry.

Did you flush Bob down the loo?

Did you feed it to one of your cats?

NO!

When my sister and I were kids, we won 4 goldfish, at various local Spring/Summer fetes, by playing that game, where you have to get the ping-pong ball in the jars. The first two fish were put in their own separarte tanks, and the other two were put in a tank together. Anyway, the weird thing is that, after one of the fish that was sharing a tank died, after a few years, the other three, who by now all had their own tanks, lived into their twenties. I'm not lying, one made it to 21, another to 22, and the oldest, which was actually the first one we got, made it to 24. We think the secret to their longevity was the fact that, after the first 10 years or so, we moved them upstairs, where there was no central heating, so their water stayed cold. Pretty impressive, but not when compard to the world record age for a goldfish, which I think is 40. Oh, and we also had a dog, which was a month shy of 17, when she died.
