Just got the new dvd boxed set and its great (although the interview with sharon stone is the weirdest thing i've ever seen). They are repeating it on ITV4 for all you insomniacs. I have to say its the greatest TV show ever and makes even The Office and Curb look second rate. If you haven't seen it then you have to get to a TV or computer and watch.
Larry Sanders
So the boxset is worth getting then? I'm still pissed off that this show doesn't get a full DVD release with every episode from every series. I agree this show is fantastic and basically where shows like Extras and Annually Retentive took (and using the word 'took' is being kind) their ideas from.
I'm not too sure about it. I watch it sometimes on ITV4, but I just can't get on with it. Maybe I should record it and watch it at a decent time.
I like to watch things from the very start, so I'm up to date with the characters. This is probably why I don't enjoy it as much.
Yeah its worth getting. there are loads of extras. You can get the first series on box set (I got both the box set and first series from America so they are region 1). I agree Extras and Annually retentive are amateurs. Compared to Larry Sanders. In fact I shouldn't mention them in the same sentence (i'll edit that). Thats better. You can also see the whole series on YouTube but if you can buy the dvds because you'll feel guilty otherwise
As much as I like Gervais, I think a lot of things are better then Extras. Annually Retentive just is bad.
Rob Brydon, although a natural performer, I think, hasn't done anything decent since the Marion & Geoff shorts.
EDIT: Sorry for the digression.

I'm the same I'm afraid which is why I've never seen Shameless. I loved the idea and the trailers but wanted to see it from the start.
youtube has it from first to last episode
I really am ignorant hen it comes to youtube.
What am I supposed to do?
Just caught the first episode. Not hilarious but enjoyable.
Awaiting the second episode now
First series is not the best, its enjoyable as you say, but it doesn't start to become great until the second series and then on.
I like the one with David Duchovny.
And Wallace Langham is in it more and more as the series' go on, he's my favourite character.
I watched them all on youtube. Loved every one of them.
The gist of the show is: Lying liars telling lies, lies, and more lies.
