Shine Pictures - The Big Idea

http://www.shine-pictures.com/

Did anyone enter? You need either a produced or optioned screenplay, an agent, a festival acclaimed short, an hour of broadcast TV drama, a play that has been performed, writing that has been published or an equivalent industry achievement.

I just submitted my entry with the latter.

Deadline is 29th October, so just under a week left.

Yep. I entered.

I will be.

Hurry Sophie. Deadline approaching fast.

I take everybody that entered that got this....

"NOTICE TO ALL BIG IDEA Applicants,

We plan to notify you if you have been shortlisted for an interview on the 1st of December - this will be done by direct email and/or phone. The interviews will be held the following week. If you have not heard from us you can assume your application has not moved forward.

Please note that over 700 applications were received and only 10 people will be interviewed, so the field is very competitive but it is also really encouraging that there are so many BIG IDEAS here in the UK. Thank you all for embracing our competition and best of luck in this and all your creative endeavours.

Did anyone enter? You need...a festival acclaimed short

When they say festival acclaimed, could you make up your own festival or do they just mean things like the Brighton festival or Edinburgh festival? Or maybe they mean the Cannes festival?

I think they mean a prizewinner of a proper film-maker's festival.

So? Did any BCGers make the shortlist?

Doesn't look like it, sadly.
