THE GYM DOOR SWINGS OPEN. A FRESH-FACED GIRL WALKS IN DRESSED AS A JUICY ORANGE.

TREY
Now we`re talking!

MARK
Huh?

TREY
Think smart Mark. Healthy fruit option and the girl. It makes sense.

THE GIRL DRESSED AS AN ORANGE WALKS OVER TO THE WALKING MACHINE AND STEPS ON.

TREY
I`m going in. Her mate`s yours.

MARK
Cheers!

TREY WALKS OVER TO TALK TO THE ORANGE.

THE GYM DOOR SWINGS OPEN. A SAD DOWN-TRODDEN GIRL WALKS IN DRESSED AS AN UGLI FRUIT.

TREY
(mouths the words)
Go on!

MARK
(mouths the words)
They`re not together!

THE ORANGE WAVES AND SMILES AT THE UGI FRUIT

THE UGLI FRUIT WALKS OVER TO THE ORANGE, THEN LOOKS EXPECTANTLY AT MARK.

MARK
Oh, Shit!

I think most of us blokes have been there (not that gymn but in that situation).

Surreal... and I don't simply mean the girls dressed as fruit. This line, for example:

It's written by Jude = Instant Classic.

Their in a gym, their talking about healthy eating as some sort of metaphor for women and there is a fruit called the Ugli Fruit!

It's fun and surreal and easy to imagine.

Thanks for your honesty Greggles & I`ll let you into a secret... I know exactly what you mean! When I posted the sketch, then read it back, my heart sank & I thought, oh b*gger (amongst other things), it`s not funny too!

Writing is subjective & that`s what makes the whole thing so difficult.

I hope Leevil`s explanation helps, it`s a great post btw & high praise, which I don`t deserve, but wow & stuff & thanks Leevil

The flip side is I know I will totally, absolutely & completely "die" on here at some point & that`s how it goes. It`s all part of the game
