Did they ever show that Russell Brand episode?
Never Mind The Buzzcocks - Series 24 Page 8
Quote: Joey Moose @ December 3 2010, 8:45 PM GMTThey need to get Lamarr or Amstell back though, or find someone else of equal measure...
It's weird how people ranted about Lamarr and Amstell, but soon as they are gone - 'bring them back!' we cry.
Yes getting Lamarr back would boost ratings hugely, if only for the blast from the past aspect. Maybe they will wait till the show is about to die until approaching Lamarr...
...But would he do it?
I don't care. I'm listening him on Radio 2 right now.

Not for much longer...
I saw the end of the programme on Thursday and TIMOTHY(!) Westwood referred to someone as "my man". Becuase of this I have no desire to see the 29 minutes or so I missed.
Quote: Joey Moose @ December 3 2010, 8:45 PM GMTSorry, but this was another poor episode. Can't see the show surviving if they decide to do another series with guest hosts next year, it's far too hit and miss.
I don't think it should be allowed to survive. The quality is really not great any more. The guests are rarely amusing, the team captains don't come in with as jokes as they should, and the guest hosts have, in the main, been just awful.
It's always been a bit of a crap format (the final round has always particularly bored me) but at least with Simon Amstell in charge there was some good gags to laugh at (Lamarr was too boring). Now we've just got a string of celebs, and people like Catherine Tate, who don't seem to understand timing is important when you're hosting, plus Noel Fielding spouting his lazy surreal rubbish (his 'zany' outfits particularly annoy me), and a bunch of guests who are so PR-minded you can't even have a joke at their expense. Sigh.
Quote: Joey Moose @ December 3 2010, 8:45 PM GMTThink Lee Mack is hosting next week, that should be good. Also looking forward to Frankie Boyle and Robert Webb's episodes.
Two stand-up comedians you've listed there I note. The only episode I've enjoyed this series so far was the one with Jack Dee - I think it needs a strong host who can deliver auto-cue gags properly. Frankie Boyle was the highlight last series, so fingers crossed he brings some much needed bite back.
Not so sure about Robert Webb.

Nope! All that expense to film it, and it still sits on a shelf somewhere un-watched.

That's so annoying!
And doesn't make any sense, even from their side. Stupid.
My vote is for a one-way trip to Switzerland and a spell in the Dignitas suicide chamber for this once great series.

You hit the nail on the head there Mark. I'm watching the Tim Minchin episode at the moment and it's pretty poor.
Shame, I've always loved the Buzzcocks but it's a mess at the moment.
Reason #407 why Westwood's better on the radio - you don't have to look at his doobie-f**ked eyes.
I nearly took a trip to Vision Express after last week's episode.
I thought he was Bez when I saw his photo
IIIIS there* A reasonwhy* TIM WESTwood* taaalkkslike HOW* I* amtyping*?

Because he's a * hand-gesture!*
Hehehe.
I thought Wogan was great the other week. It was definitely the show's Brucie moment. I enjoyed Paul Foot as well.

Paul Foot was a pathetic twat. Did you really think he was funny?
