Well sure, but it's always been like that, that's always been the edge for the show, which Fielding must know, unless he never watched it.

Or doesn't remember it. What with all of the thousands of pounds worth of crack cocaine.

I doubt he watched it. He doesn't seem to ever know anything about recent TV/pop culture. And has never even heard of the people in the lineups, unless possibly if they're from the '70s or something.

I think Noel was just regular cocaine, as he was oft spotted with a powdery nose.

Isn't crack cocaine just for the poor? :)

I genuinely don't know the difference.

Crack cocaine is in crystal form and you smoke it in a pipe. A crack pipe. Normal cocain is powdered and generally snorted or rubbed into gums (like heroin can be).

This is what TV has taught me, anyway :D

Well this series has been shit so far, hopefully Jack Dee can turn it around tonight.

I think Jack Dee should be good!

Ahhh. Consider me edumacated. :)

And me.

And yes, this series has been sub-standard.

Re Fielding's opinion, Amstell certainly made it harsher than it had been, but as everyone else has said, that is more or less what the show was always like. I would certainly agree, however, that it became even more about the personalities on the panel and less about the music quiz, under his tenure.

For once, I agree with Aaron 100%.
