Football poem by Charlie (Aged 7)

Football crazy, football mad,
I play football with my dad

I like to play in the house though mum gets very cross
Me and dad get in trouble because she's the boss

Over 800 football cards, a very big collection
Some of them are very shiny, they give a reflection

Dad took me to my first match, Sunderland versus Posh
There were lots of people at the ground, Good job I wasnt squashed

Dad and me like watching football, on our flatscreen telly
Dad cheers loud when they score, I just eat my jelly

Football crazy, football mad
The best times I spend are with my dad

If he's truly only seven, that's way advanced

Yep, my boy Charlie is 7. All the words are his though I did have to lay it out a bit different to what he did and add a comma or two. :)

Good work Charlie Tuumble :)

Have BBC Three commissioned a sitcom from him yet?

Great News! The poem is going to be published in a book in March!

"Once upon a Rhyme - Poems from the East" is schools thing from www.youngwriters.co.uk.

He was chuffed like you wouldn't believe. :)

Excellent! Well done! For only 7 years he shows tremendous promise (maybe we should hold on to this, as it may in years to come end up as a collectable on ebay?) :)
