Guest list

Hi all,

Hope everyone's well.

I'm on the guest list for a radio sketch show tonight and I'll be meeting up with the cast and writers afterwards. I'm wondering, should I take any of my work with me or not? Would that look a bit unprofessional?

Thanks in advance,

Josh.

What's the show?

What's the show?

The Odd Half Hour.

RE: your question

I'd probably say no.
But you may want to wait for someone who knows about these things.

I wouldn't take an actual script - it's too eager. Better to ingratiate yourselves with key people and get their business cards with a promise to follow up with some ideas.

I've heard good things about you, Mr Bussell, so I'll take your advice. Thank you. :)

Cheers to Steve also. ;)

No worries, Josh. And good luck.

Yeah.
Mingle - let it slip that you write a bit, have ambitions in that area etc.
Someone's bound to say you could try sending in your stuff, out of politnress, if nothing else.
Get contact details and pursue ruthlessley.

Waving a bunch of scripts about looks a bit needy and will cause everyone to avoid you like the plague

Good luck.

Why not get your own business cards printed up? Vistaprint are always bombarding me with emails but you can get a couple of hundred for the cost of postage.

I realise it's a bit late for tonight but maybe next time....
