Are there any rules or guidelines as to what can be posted on the skit comp or is it pretty much opened to any halfwit newbie such as myself?

It never stopped me (being a halfwit) and don't worry about being a newbie I won on my first entry after only being a member for a week or so so there's definitely no bias towards newbies. Go for it and good luck!
