Such tributes are terribly gauche. And eulogies are always so terribly nice. Well I say good riddance to bad rubbish. Actually I don't. On reading Chip's contentious post (moments after he'd posted it) I was immediately reminded of Peter Cook saying to Chris Morris "You find the thought of my death amusing, do you?" and Andy Kaufman joking about his cancer. However, some falls on stony ground. At least Mr Chips will hopefully have more free time to watch his stack of unwatched DVDs, including The Five Doctors (2-disc edition).
