Life's Too Short Page 2

I like RG but it seems that he can get anything made if he wants to. This could have been one of the posts on the Worst Sitcom Thread (probably one of Sootyj's).

Ok, what about we indulge in some storyline speculation?

My guesses:

1. Warwick takes a full-size woman on a date to a theme park.

2. Warwick meets a black dwarf for the first time and is insensitive in some way.

3. Warwick has a drunken one-night stand with a stunning female dwarf, but things go pear-shaped when she actually turns out to be his best friend's six-year-old daughter.

The short-arse was also in a Gervais/Merchant comic sketch shot for World Cup 2006, with Merchant as Peter Crouch and Warwick Davies as Wayne Rooney.

haha!

Hitchhiker's Guide movie- but obviously that was non-speaking.

We do not acknowledge that's existence around here, thank you!

This will be their last sitcom. Ricky Gervais said it was "the third in our trilogy of sitcoms".

I don't remember this, but IMDB tells me he was in an episode of the Fast Show.

Yeah, in their 'Singing Ringing Tree' parody on Channel 9. I think. :)

I'm not sure I can get too excited about a Ricky Gervais sitcom that doesn't star Ricky. Or at least only features him in the odd cameo.

Why? That's a bit odd.

He fancies him in the face.

You're a bit odd.

Aside from The Office, I don't think he's that great a writer. And alot of his stuff works best when either he or Merchant are on screen to intepret it.

Ricky Gervais is now so uniquely powerful in UK comedy that even if he suggested filming his suspiciously dim-witted friend going abroad - or an animated series based on his repetitive podcasts - even that would probably get commissioned!

Hehe.

That is going to be bloody ace though.

Just been reading about this, it does make me cringe when Gervais keeps going on about Curb Your Enthusiasm in interviews; as if he could write anything like that.

This will be 'someone says something embarrassing, people get embarrassed' for six weeks straight. That's all he can write. The Office was (mostly) excellent, Extras was tiresome, I don't hold out much hope for this.

I suspect you'll be proved right. People'll still love it though.
