Girlie Pirates Sitcom Synopsis Page 2

Thanks Blenkinsop:D

Looks interesting and I'd like to see how it develops.

Good luck.

Thanks David, I`ll post it as it develops:D

Hey Jude...sorry i've only just commented on here...i'd missed it before hand.

I loved it! I really did!

Will you be introducing more characters?! And how will you introduce them!? Find them stranded on islands? Kidnap them from other ships? Can you have a blonde pirate!? hehe :D

Hi Ellie & thanks for the comments matie:D

I`ll be introducing guys for Cardigan & Della & there`ll be a lot of contemporary pirating going on.

Actually... I`m writing student nurse & part-time pirate Della, as a blonde!

I liked it a lot.

Did you get permission from the First Chapter of the Guys and Girlie Pirates, or did you use your Founder member status to push this through?

Thanks Rosco:D

Lol, I used founder member status to push it through!

Thank you for the screen writing info, that's kind!

You`re v. welcome & I hope it helped:D

Hi Jude.
Yes this is very well written I must say. It's cool and I cant think of there ever being a girlie pirates sitcom, so its different. Cool. Well done you. Give yourself a poke in the eye, then you'l have a need for that there eye patch wench. (Dunno if wench is piratey) I just like the term.xx :D

Ahoy there Charley & thanks matie, the eye`s coming along nicely now:D

This isn't really relevant to anything! But: wasn't there a famous old comedian who owned a bar on a barge who died recently?
Kinda like Ted.

Thanks Zooo, I hadn`t heard that.

Ah, it's Malcolm Hardee, owned a pub on a barge called the Wibbley Wobbley. (Hurray for wikipedia).
Still irrelevant, but it's made me feel better.

As you were!

Now having read the synopsis I realise why my regrettable flippancy so offended you.

But what of 'Girlie Pirates', well, there's not a lot I can add to all the positive feedback you have so far received. Although different in many ways, I thought it had a charming 'Father Ted' quality about it which immediately captured my interest.

I have to add that I share Shoepie's reservation about whether there would be enough Elvis related material, but I guess there's no real way of knowing until you start writing the episodes proper.

A common cause for complaint is that there are too few roles for women in sitcom, and with the exception of 'The Vicar of Dibley' and 'AbFab', there's been little else to counter that argument. However, and only basing it on your very complete synopsis, if you can actually deliver a solid series, hopefully there will be something more than anything and everything by French and Saunders who, in all honesty, ain't what they used to be.
