I still don't get how one can make a spoof out of a comedy [sitcom] the spoofs come from taking the piss out of what were serious stuff....as I said disaster films...i.e. airplane. We all know disaster films...i.e... an old couple struggling and the old biddy dies and then a child in trouble etc, they all had the same theme. Airplane took the piss out of that format/genre and it was hilarious, so, you need to think of a genre that has been 'overdone' like disaster films and then take the Mick out of them. I don't think sitcoms are 'easy meat'. as they are already funny

Well, some sitcoms just aren't funny...although everyone has a different sense of humour so what's a hilarious sitcom to me might not be to you and vice versa. I think you can still take the piss out of what you think is a bad sitcom. I would be DELIGHTED if someone made a spoof of Two Halfs of Men. It would be a spoof of a spoof and then Attaxwrongness and me would probably make a spoof of that. It would be a never ending spoof saga, but best it just stays as a beautiful dream I think. If there's a sitcom that really overuses certain jokes that's a good place to start.

But Two and A half men is my favourite sitcom as are most American sitcoms, they are far superior to British ones IMO. Brit ones are soooooo boring at times and stick to the old middle class humour, if one can call it humour

My favourite American sitcom is Curb Your Enthusiasm. My favourite English sitcom is probably Peep Show. I do agree that there are a lot of very shabby British sitcoms but quite a few of the American ones I don't care much for either. As with all things there are some you will like and some you won't.
American sitcoms are mainly written by Jewish writers. To me Jewish humour is second to none

We all have different tastes.
I for instance am rude & vile. I am not to many tastes myself.
Dont feel beat up by anything. Take it in & on board. Use it to your advantage or dont. Just do your humour but be prepared for not everyone agreeing on your humour being funny. There are so mamy types thank goodness.
