Hi; long time no post. I've finally bitten the bullet and made my own little short and got a YouTube account.

I had no budget or any actors, just me, a sock and my computer. To be honest, I felt a bit embarrassed about being on camera - especially with a sock on my hand - and actually filmed it in secret around the house. The sound quality's a bit poor but please let me know what you think about it.

I was expecting a sticky sock near the end.
I must admit, I've never even heard of men doing such unsavoury things in their socks, let alone doing it myself, but I might be living a sheltered life. I'm pleased you liked it though. I was worried about what people would think.
That was well good. The sock made me laugh, he's a very good actor. Plenty of room for improvement but still made me laugh.

Cheers scratchyr. Yes the sock steals the show, you're right. And yes, room for improvement - sound: poor, acting: worse, editing: looser than I'd like.
I've got more episodes written and roughly storyboarded, so watch this space.

I rather likes the shot of you leaving the room holding the cam in your hand. Reminded me of the famous Harvey Keitel drunk scene in Mean Streets.
Maybe next time don't have a guy out of shot riding a bicycle with a playing card in the spokes though.

Anyway well done, kinda agree re the sound FX, bit distracting.

Maybe it is just the men I know then. Like my brothers, sons, husband. (Though he too denies this of course). Also most of my male friends & female friend's sons & husbands, brothers probably fathers cousins unclies etc etc.
As a performer you're likeable enough - looks-wise, imagine Mr Benn after a big pub lunch - but in terms of content: there's nothing original here.
Decent shot composition, though. And good choice of music.
