My friend asked me yesterday;

'I came out the shower this morning, went into my room to get ready and I never closed the blinds. As I was drying myself, jangling about, I looked out the window and there was a young girl, around 8 years old, staring up at me. Does that make me the paedo or her the peeping Tom ?!'

Your friend?

Question: why the hell are you clicking on a link that says "Paedophilia"?

On a comedy forum. Yeah why the f**k is he doing that Kevin? Were you clicking on it for other reasons?

Zooo is right. Everything can be funny if it's done well.

Actually no. Humour enriches life it shouldn't lessen it.

Yes. I wasn't clicking on it knowing I would be offended.

Humour can also be cathartic.

So if a joke brings laughter into the lives of 10 people and offends 1 person...

Or if a joke brings laughter into the lives of 1 person and offends 10 people...

Are there rules about this?

I visited this thread in some hope of some sweets.
Typical!

I would have thought that obvious to any lame brain but maybe not.

I click on most threads on here.

It is a 'comedy' forum.

If a thread is headed 'Paedophilia' it is, possibly, reasonable to assume that someone is making light of the sexual abuse of children.

I have a view on that and feel I am entitled to make that view known.

I'll leave it to the Mods but I think this thread is best closed.

So you readily abmit you clicked on the link knowing, or suspecting, that you would be offended, and ready to make a post or two about how offended you were?

May I humbly suggest a letter to a newspaper? Daily Mail, maybe?

As you say, this is a comedy forum.

It isn't a comedy part of the forums. It's in General Discussion. All sorts of nasty stuff gets brought up in General Discussion, though for some reason a lot of people seem to think nasty stuff only turns up in Critique.

I don't wish to prolong this 'discussion' with you but suffice to say that you totally misunderstand.

I did not click to be offended but to make a point to others who may find your views humourous.

So you were not offended?

Kevin, he was offended and you know it! Stop playing games!

So you were not offended?

'Say goodnight to the people, Gracie.'

Well, I know/suspect that he was. He doesn't seem to though.

Sorry, I thought messing with Daily Mail types was fair game. No?

Oh, carry on as much as you like! Or not! How are you anyway, it's been a while?

What is a "Daily Mail type"?
