Rational and Irrational fears Page 5

I'm scared of

1. Wasps
2. Spiders
3. Heights
4. Death
5. White Butterflies (the common plain white ones that live in bushes)
6. Going fast (rides, cars etc)

I have a friend who is scared of tea bags and has never drank a cup of tea in her life. She can't even look at one without being freaked out.

What's wrong with cabbage butterfies ? They're lovely.

not if you're a cabbage

You must live in posh places to have road sweepers!

I've thought about that in front of tubes... or that someone would have the urge to push me in front of one.

I always make sure no one is standing behind me. I always think some care in the community type is going to push me in front of a tube. And then probably get off because it's 'not his fault'. (Not that I'm prejudiced against mentals or anything...) Whistling nnocently

Whats this nonsense about swallowing spiders?

They're clean and packed full of protein. I have a weightlifter friend who is so obsessive, he releases spiders in his bed at night - around 20, sometimes 30 (he buys them from pet shops - food for certain reptiles). By morning there is no sign whatsoever of them. he reckons to consume around 10,000 spiders each year! He's never had any problems - and puts his prowess at knitting down to this being a side effect of his quirky initiative too - double bubble!

September's a great month for spiders in the house as they retreat indoors when they detect the onset of winter. However, due to the current Indian summer we are experiencing it may be a week or two before this phenomenon occurs.

If you are bothered about big furry spiders crawling into your warm cosy mouth whilst you sleep - simple answer - tape your mouth shut! This way you can't swallow any. On the other hand you will probably find them crawling into other orifices - but at least they can't be swallowed!

So develop a different attitude to our arachnic friends - just becasue they look scary and hairy and awful - doesn't mean they are. Mmmmmm.

I like you, Juan.

Hey - you're not too bad yourself! Hug

Women again.

I keep getting "advances" on another forum. Scared.

Eep!
Run away!

Can't reply to you.

Far too scared of your sort.

Which forum is it, Bigfella?

Which forum is it, Bigfella?

Laughing out loud

Wrists
People following me up stairs
Eyeballs
Needles

Ooh wrists and eyeballs. LOTS of things make me feel weird or gross. I wouldn't call them fears though.
Seeing your pulse in your wrist is yuck.
