Oooh very rational. I get well creeped out on eye tests when I need a thicker prescription.
Actually prefer dentist to optician.

Are you losing your sight?
Shit tough break wish you well and they seem to be finding new stuff for the eyes all the time.
These are depressingly rational and scary. Anyone got something wacky?
Who here fears clowns?

No. I was scared of Zooo.
Oh right, daren't say if that's.... rational.
When I was a young sprat I did have a terrible fear of Jack In The Boxes, a form of clown, I'd say. I couldn't go near them without trembling in sweat, to me they were deeply sinister.
Oh they are.
Sootyj declares that fear rational.
In fact I don't feel well just remembering it now.
The only fear we are born with is falling. We acquire the others.
Spiders and insects with long legs. Crane flies and harvestmen are the worst.
My wife and daughter are scared shitless of spiders. I just pick em up with my hands and problem solved. Spiders seems to be a "lady" fear - would you agree?
Definitely.

if youre so scared of harvestmen, why do you give them such a scary name?
Quote: sootyj @ September 2 2010, 8:39 PM BST3 Being tired in the middle of the week (sort of rational)
Why is that scary?
My fears tend to be deeply subconscious and difficult to identify. For example, I think I used to have a mild fear of going hungry, because I would make sure I ate enough before going anywhere, but now I've discovered it's quite nice to be slightly famished.
Also, I am more motivated to not lose money, than to gain more money. I'm happier to save a tenner than to gain one. I think that must be irrational, and it probably means I'm a mental.
