Miranda - Series 2 Page 13

Mark Heap was great in this episode!

They totally had me with the whole Gary rushing in and declaring his love for Miranda bit. Did that get anyone else, or I am just hopelessly gullible? Errr

See I thought the opposite, I thought it was very silly this week.

With a little toning down of some of the silliness, it might almost have been serious drama.

Miranda's 'silly' behaviour in the face of the psychiatrist's scrutiny wasn't very far from believable.

Thought this one a bit odd.
Feels too early to be doing a 'locked room' episode - not sure they've earnt it yet.
A bit indulgent IMO.
Some undeniably good moments but, all in all, a bit so-so.

That's what I thought too. I didn't even bother watching the end. Mark Heap was good though. He always is.

Come on VV do you mean it was drama that was serious or serious drama? Or might have been, or could have almost been with a little of this or more of something else?

There's one on at the moment. It's called Miranda. :)

Eh? Boring 'fat; bird stuff, bit of farce, innuendo to camera, falling over showing pants... are we in 1960s Brian Rix nostalgia? ...Not helping women to move forward at all in comedy.

Cease your bamboozling forthwith. Angry

I don't see it setting us back particularly.

I know, fancy her doing a popular comedy programme that appeals to millions of viewers, both male and female, how on Earth is that going to help promote women in comedy?

(Fat "bird"? Really? And you think she's the one stuck in the past?)

I laughed so much this week, Would have liked to have maybe saw Miranda's father appear somewhere though.

Interesting... Why the massive increase for episode 3?

It's normally against Coronation Street, but there was no episode at 8:30 on that night.

I liked this ep, I think the restriction of one set and three characters benefited it. And yes Mark Heap was very very good, as was mum.
