Miranda - Series 2 Page 12

The one I liked least so far. I think I find her mother more anoying than funny in anything other than short bursts.
Which isn't to say I didn't enjoy it and there were some good laughs.

Loved this week's episode.

Another brilliant episode!

'Plummmmmmmp!' Laughing out loud

Haha. And not forgetting plinth and moist.

Was great to see Mark Heap too.

Moist.

Yes, an excellent performance from Mark Heap. Perfectly understated, pitched exactly right to allow the comedy and Miranda's personality to shine, without himself disappearing into the background. A good achievement for such a relatively tiny role in the series, I think.

I still seem to be the only person on the planet that doesn't find this funny. Just not my sense of humour. Patricia Hodge as mum in particular gets on my nerves.

I like her. She reminds me ever so slightly of my mum...

I work with three people who loathe it. One believes Miranda, the commissioners, and anyone else involved with the series should be shot at dawn. Bizarrely though, another adores Not Going Out, which I think is pretty damned similar in its humour.

That is just weird.

Thought this one a bit odd.
Feels too early to be doing a 'locked room' episode - not sure they've earnt it yet.
A bit indulgent IMO.
Some undeniably good moments but, all in all, a bit so-so.

I also quite like Not Going Out :S I think it's the characterisations I really don't like in Miranda.

But I love your mum Lovey

Didn't much care for this episode. It grated on me a bit by the end. A couple of good laughs, but I didn't respond to it nearly as much as I usually do.

Didn't like the Gary fake-ou either. The buggers. Playing with my emotions like that.

Haha. The screaming from the audience when he knelt down was hilarious!

I may have done a small 'eeeeeeeee', but on the inside.

:D

It's mainly the way she dresses, I think. Not really her personality. Well, only a bit.

It was almost seriously good comedy this week - as opposed to the silly (but enjoyable) nonsense it's been up to now.

The proposal from the boyfriend suggested the writers lacked confidence in the 'seriously good comedy' format so threw in a bit of silly farce as a sop to those whose dedication has made the show the success it is.

See I though the opposite, thought it was very silly this week. Less slapstick but more silly.
