OK, so it's not just a writing opportunity, but I'm not going to bother to start a new thread for this guff.
Why does The North always seem to get the benefit of these initiatives? It's like holding the Special Olympics in the same city every four years. We got Peter Kay and Jason Manford from The North, surely that's more than enough? When are we going to have some f**king licence fee payers' comedy wank money thrown at us here in West Country, eh?
If you're a young comedian/comedy writer hoping to catch the eye of some guilty Southern liberal BBC comedy producer toff, I suggest you don that cloth cap, neglect to bathe for a few weeks and learn to f**k whippets whilst singing When The Boat Comes In.
I heard they did throw a load of money towards the West Country, but due to the lack of thumbs you all failed to catch it.
Yawn! The idea that those of us who impregnate our own sisters produce deformed babies is such a lazy misconception...
