Quote: David Bussell @ September 1 2010, 2:24 PM BSTIt amazes me that you don't seem to be able to go one thread without making an off-colour comment like this yet you're perplexed as to why professionals are rejecting your 'cross-cultural' scripts.
I can't believe you said that David.....it was my sense of humour....this thread's about multiculture/comedy.
Or monoculture mockery?
I only thought some chav Essex girls said it.
I am not a racist, I'll say it again in captitals...
I HAD AN ISRAELI SON-IN-LAW [DECEASED] FROM HIM STEMMED TWO CHILDREN MY GRAND CHILDREN OF MIXED RACE. MY SISTER MARRIED A BLACK CARIBBEAN AND I HAVE A MIXED RACE NIECE. MY HUSBAND IS JEWISH, MY OTHER BROTHER-IN-LAW IS SCOTTISH. ANYONE ELSE GOT SUCH A MULTICULTURAL FAMILY ON HERE?
I think I could quite qualify for this competition

I know what this thread's about and I'm on topic. I'm sorry if you feel attacked but you have a habit of making inflammatory comments I find hard not to respond to. Saying it's your 'sense of humour' and acting hurt doesn't excuse your actions in my eyes. Act prejudiced and expect to be treated as such.

I hear what you're saying but none of that explicitly qualifies you as not being prejudiced, nor does spelling it out in capital letters. Like I said before in response to Marc, I'm not accusing you outright of being a racist - I don't even know you. What I'm saying is that you're known on here for some pretty right wing statements - the kind of statements that, were they to spill over into your writing, could lead someone to believe that you're not the sort of person who should be writing a sitcom about a multi-cultural society. In this thread alone you've referred to 'the blacks' and made an off-colour comment about Asians. To me it demonstrates a certain lack of sensitivity.

Bernard Manning always pisses on about him believing he is Jewish.
Bush sweetie it is perfectly possible to be black and racist, Muslim and Islamophobic or gay and a member of the conservative party with a fetish for sodomising assisstants in travel lodges.
What ever the number of ethnic minorities in your woodshed. Does not stop some of your remarks about minorities being ignorant to the point of unpleasant. And at times highly bitter.
I haven't got a BBC comission either. But I know that's more because I don't work hard enough, ain't good enough or weren't lucky.

Blacks wish to be referred to as blacks, but not the Asians.
In future I'll use a smiley then you'll get that I'm joking
What all Asians?
Also it's the addition of the "the" that seems to make you sound like your lumping people together,.

See that's what I'm talking about, you're speaking on behalf of entire races! It's like me acting as a spokesperson for all white people.
And I've never met 'a black' who wouldn't be a lot more comfortable being referred to as 'a black person'. Or Dave. He works in the print room.
We're referred to as white honkies...and other titles
but we're going off topic...back to the comp
When?
The last time I heard that was on "Love thy Nieghbour."
Bush are you living in an atomic bomb shelter with a collection of slightly racist videos from the 1970s?
I work in a pretty diverse field and I can't remember the last time the subject of race came up. People just aren't bothered.

I know people aren't bothered and neither am I. I mix with a lot of black people
As far as family ties go, I have an Indian sister-in-law and I become more racist every time I have to have anything to do with her.

now you see, everyone will laugh at that taking it as your humour

Michael, how come you spell your name Micheal on here? Is that a mistake, or the correct spelling of your name?
