Interestingly (and perhaps significantly..) in the late 1960s/early 1970s there was a lot of wanking going on whilst watching certain of the good Doctor's assistants!
It wasn't so easy either when the only telly was in the lounge and the house was always full of visiting neighbours, aunts, etc.
