They had it. Then they lost it Page 4

I doff my hat good question.

Will Self was probably monged to the eyeballs on heroin hence the rolling eye balls.

I think NBK was quite an early script. They gave it away in Total Film, I read it was really bad. Unbelievably Oliver Stone improved on it.

Just to throw another confused film into the mix, I really liked Planet Terror. :)

Avery also didn't vanish, as such; some of his other films include Rules Of Attraction and that recent Beowulf cartoon movie.

Beowolf sucked donkey balls. Diseased paragliding donkey balls.

Another one who fell has to be M Night Shymalian.

6th Sense-Air Bender?

How?

He's definitely made more shit films than good. I never rated Sixth Sense, working out the twist beforehand ruined the whole thing for me. (I didn't set out to be a smart arse, just everyone knew there was a twist, all I'd seen was a trailer, so on the way in someone asked me what I thought it would be, I tossed out a guess, and within the first minute or two it was obvious I'd guessed right. Booo.) I loved Unbreakable. Signs, though in the end, completely dumb, was good fun, too. That's it.

Unbreakable I got litterally from the first 10 seconds of the trailer but great fun. Unbreakable good dolid superhero fun, if only more superhero films were like that.

Signs oddly is one of my fave scifi films of all time. Partly because I read an article that described it as a reverse mystery,

Signs looks like it's smart, but it's so stupid. Aliens killed by water? Yet they are invading, whilst naked, a planet two thirds covered in water and on which it rains all the freaking time?! Dumb aliens, dumb! They'd have been wiped out in the first rain storm!

And stationary starships that you can see because birds fly into them?

It's precisely because it makes no sense, that it makes sense. Aliens would be beyond our abbility to comprehend.

In it's own way it's way more sensible than Independence Day,

I liked Independence Day, I think I'm the only one...

Oh I enjoy it even though it's a terrible film.

I love films like that. Cinema wouldn't be the same without films like that.

I think you're giving Shyamalan a little too much credit there!

Maybe but hey made the film more enjoyable for me.

I liked Shymalan's The Happening. Although I suspect I'm alone in that.

I think you maybe. Albeit the beginning is pleasingly weird.
