This is really directed at those who upload video content, especially animation, to sites like 4laughs and troublehomegrown. Sites, such as the afore mentioned, require agreement to terms like this (taken from homegrown's 'terms and conditions):
By uploading Video Content onto the Website you grant to us a worldwide, perpetual, royalty free unlimited licence to reproduce copy distribute and otherwise exploit the Video Content in any and all media (whether now known or hereinafter invented) including but not limited to on the Website and by means of television broadcast.
So these sites could in theory, and more likely practice, exploit our animations to mobile operators and suchlike, with diddly squat coming to us (me) ?! hmmmmmmm
