who would be more inconspicuous travelling through time then Adam Ant?

A tramp.

I loved Spike's outfit!

The whole style of the show is just perfect. Cowboy music when they walked into the bar.
Oh gawd, it's just ace. I wish it was on every day!

With the record button, it can be.

I thought that some of it was a bit embarrasssing, buuuuut enjoyable on the whole. :)

Teehee... enjoyable on the hole...
Spike would have made that double entendre if he could.

A tramp.

Which is the look Tom Baker was going for.

I'm appalled. 'Spike' looked ancient. Which must mean I'm getting old too 'cos he was sooo cool a few years ago. Where's his blonde hair? And leathers? And how come Captain Jack's gone all chubby? Not that I'm shallow or anything.

Who is this aimed at? It’s more pent up than a sixteen year old amputee with ten foot jiz bags.

After half an hour I turned it off and put on a porno to get away from the one dimensional sexual-stereotyping.

The endless shagaholism of the characters was wearing enough in the last series, but now we have a new walking hard-on (sorry character) to give Captain Sacs a run for his money. He came out of the rift - which is of course another word for cleft.

The plot? He was looking for a load of cannisters so that he could open them and make the Nat West Bank symbol.

At the end of the day, Torchwood (even the title’s got an erection) is just a forty-five minute Range Rover commercial with cottaging interludes. And it’s still got that bloke in it who looks like he’s been in a firework accident.

I guess you didn't like it then Godot

I thought it was bloody brilliant and was even more excited by the series preview at the end. The bloke from Buffy, the bloke from Neighbours. Genius. Its just like Dr Who and Primeval, fun from start to finish and it shows that the UK can still put together quality TV shows.

It's a bit of a joke really, so it's appropriate that we are discussing it here. It's a car crash as TV programme, but then people watch car crashes. This is an adult show if you are about 13. I get out my checklist and tick things off: gay bit, pc bit, BBC's idea of multi-culturalism bit. I wouldn't miss it!

That's why it's so funny.

I think some viewers approach it in completely the wrong frame of mind. It's not to be taken seriously.
It's to be enjoyed for all its beautiful shallowness and ridiculousness.

And its Barrowman-ness, yes?

You can't 'watch half' and then comment on the plot I'm afraid.

Either that, or stop pretending you didn't watch it all. :)

Yes, by jove!

Amen

Im ill and so missed it :( hoping its on iPlayer?

I'm sure it is!
And it's repeated on erm... Wednesday next week I think.

yeah it is :D just looked!

Yep to iPlayer, and repeated throughout the week on BBC Three I think too.

Will have to be on iPlayer or BBC Three because they apparently cut out the scary bits on BBC's repeat at 7 on Wednesday...rubbish!
