Hello everyone I am new to this site. I was talking the other day with friends about the old cartoon programme Wacky Races and thought why has no director thought of making a film about it - it could be wacky and funny. Someone has missed the boat here to make a fortune! tee hee
Why has no-one thought of Wacky Races?

Yes, or the cartoon itself might have been based on a film!
Monte Carlo or Bust
Or in the states the catchy, not, title: Those Daring Young Men in their Jaunty Jalopies - sequel to Those Daring Young Men in their Flying Machines.
Isn't it what Top Gear was based on?

Wasn't it The Great Race? Dick Dastardly and Mutley being based on Jack Lemmon and Peter Falk, while Tony Curtis (who was also in Monte Carlo or Bust) served as the model for Peter Perfect.
Sound about right, that came out the same time as the Flying one - so probably a bit of them all.
The of course the next decade we got the canonball run etc etc.
Given the stale state of the market and the constant yearning in the bosom of 'noughties pap' producers, a remake of a remake of.. sounds like an eminently good idea.
Are you my brown eyed girl, brown eyed girl?
Welcome to BCG!

You said that yesterday. Did you forget?
Welcome to the board, but you only have to say things once y'know.
Here's Zooo.
I used to fancy Penelope Pitstop. As a kid I wanted to save her from the fiendish Dick Dastardly, but now I think I'd tie her up myself to a railway track and...choo choo!
And that was based on this.
At university there was a Greek girl who laughed like Muttley. She wasn't too bad looking. Although quite short. Probably too short for me. Couples of mismatched height always look a bit odd. And it would have been embarrassing when she laughed.
I don't think that would have been a problem...
Mutley was in Catch The Pigeon, or was he in both? Doh Anyway I much prefered Catch The Pigeon, but don't think a live action remake of that would be possible!

I know!
