Pete Versus Life - Series 1 Page 6

Good episode again. The 50 year old woman was rather nice too. Plot didn't seem overly complex or original, but it was executed well in my opinion. I think the commentary is growing on me too.

It made me laugh a lot again. Great stuff.

Another good episode, but please give his curly haired mate some sort of discernable character, it's annoying how nothing that character is.
But anyway, it was pretty funny, which I suppose is the most important thing.

And was his older woman her out of Brittas??

Don't think so.

The curly haired friend is a bit of a bum note.

I watched this tonight. Excellent premise - if I understood it correctly that two blokes comment on a sad loser's life as if it's a sporting event - but let down by a script that felt like it had been written by a dog or a monkey.

And as for the gratuitous swearing - what the f**k was that about? People often say that swearing isn't big or clever when it usually is but it wasn't here, it was sad and juvenile - but not sad and juvenile in a good way, sad and juvenile in a whacking off over lumpy silicon tits way.

The aunty was played by Caroline Langrishe, who used to be Judge John Deed's mistress, among lots of other things. You're thinking of Julia St. John. I suppose they look quite similar.

The whole sex thing with her was a tedious tease.

So this McElroy commentator bloke, is he some sort of real person?

You don't mean Pippa Haywood, do you? No.

Good episode. Lots of laughs for me - easily the best so far.

If you mean based on real person, Alan Shearer possibly

Oh, no I wondered if he was an actual person playing himself.
Don't know why.

Good episode. Laughed quite a few times. Sometimes it feels like they're swearing just for the sake of it, though. Also, I hope they flesh out the other characters a bit more.

....'I was f**king like a barn door in a gale' this got me cracking up :D ;) :P :D ;) :P

I thoroughly enjoyed the last episode. It's getting better and better.

Fab eppy. Loved the older woman character. :D

Before this show started I had zero expectations of it. So it's great that three episodes in that, for sheer laughs, this is the funniest comedy on at the moment.

Rafe Spall is becoming more like the Robin Askwith of Confessions with every ep. (And that's a good thing).

Very funny stuff.

Does Rafe Spall have a slight lisp?
