I've seen the trailer, doesn't look too bad IMO. Hopefully will last longer than Plus One, the last decent comedy I saw on Channel 4.

Hmm, if this is a cross between The Peter Principle and How Not To Live Your Life then it could be interesting. I may look forward to it. If it isn't, I may not.
Apparently Rafe Spall is Timothy Spall's son.
DUH.
Thay've kept the funny rather hidden in the trailer, just highlighting the gimmick instead. I'll give it a look.

Thanks for the warning! Don't want glass in my fists!

What is the gimmick? Why does he have people commentating on his life?

Yes, that is the gimmick. And I don't know, maybe he gets hit on the head and starts hearing things.

Either that or the commentators are only known to the viewer and not Pete. Reminds me of that Alexei Sayle bit in that Young Ones episode Flood: "It's now time for the half-time report"...
I see this is scheduled directly against BBC Two's new Roger And Val. Interesting to see which comes out on top.

Not immediately obvious someone is related to someone else just because they share a surname. Look at Vernon and Peter Kay.
