It haunts my dreams at night.

I think the future of television is live studio-based shows. As everything else will be ondemand/streaming/whatever.

Vernon Kay, Ant & Dec will be kings.

You have to be sceptical about the predictions of high tech anoraks though, they often don't come true.

Article here about how a record 47 million 'old fogies' still listen to a 19th century technology-

No doubt 50 years ago we were told radio would be dead by 1999 and we would all be watching wrist watch TV in our nuclear hover cars.

The popularity Ant and Dec and Vernon Kaye would never been predicted a century ago either when you consider their flimsy talents aren't even sophisticated enough to have made an Edwardian end-of-the pier stage show.

On the subject of HBO, aside from Curb and Trueblood, they ain't got to many classics at the moment. The Six Feet Under, Sopranos, Oz heyday's a while back now.

Boardwalk Empire with Steve Buscemi started a few weeks ago and potentially it's looks like another classic. And the Pacific was good. Also Hung, Treme, Bored to Death and the new series of Eastbound and Down. And they made the Wire, Flight of the Conchords and Generation Kill since their 'heyday'. All very successful.

I like you.

Wow can't wait; Buscemi, Stephen Graham, Michael K Williams, written by a Soparnos writer and directed by Scorcese.

Meh. Boardwalk Empire looks good but I was referring to tentpole shows. Oh, and Pacific was dull as dust.

Yeah, seen a few clips online and looks pretty good. SO excited about Treme as well, as a massive Wire fan

Treme is awesome!
