Broadcast pitch competition Page 3

Funnily enough, the demonic work experience bit isn't in the script I wrote. (But will be added to it.)
That bit came to me when I was deciding on what to write as a pitch.

As you can gather, it's a madcap type of sitcom. 30 minutes of nutty escapism, a far cry from the realism sitcoms you get nowadays.

Like the boring realism of The IT Crowd, you mean? ;)

Well done Mikey, good job.

Well done Mikey.

OK, I'll rephrase... :)
...a far cry from the trend of realism sitcoms you get nowadays.

The IT Crowd is definitely madcap.
Just saying that there aren't many shows like that nowadays.

I've entered. It is based on an earlier sci-fi sitcom idea called "Doors" but I've since retitled "Another Dimension". I started it last year and sent a pilot script to a production company (Perfectly Normal Productions), but it has been nearly a year and I haven't heard back from yet, (I sent an email to them 7 months after I sent the script, and they still hadn't got around to reading it) so I thought I might pitch it as an animated TV version. Here is my 140 character pitch:

Anime sitcom starring an accidentally rich botanist, a steampunk Dalmatian, a hawk-eyed fashion criminal and a sadistic perverted catgirl.

I think that pitch is bound to attract some interest.

Also, for those having trouble imagining what this would look like, see here (I don't know how to shrink the image to fit on the forum page).

Hey Ian,
did this ever go anywhere? I still love the picture.
