I love Sandwiches

INT. KITCHEN - AFTERNOON

ALLAN WALKS INTO THE KITCHEN TO FIND HIS FLATMATE STEVE MAKING A SANDWICH.

ALLAN
You're always making bloody sandwiches.

STEVE
I love sandwiches.
(His face lights up)
I could open up a sandwich shop.

ALLAN
What? Why?

STEVE
I love sandwiches. I'll be able to have them all day.

ALLAN
It doesn't work like that, you'll be sick of them anyway.

STEVE
Never.

ALLAN
Why don't you become a sandwich tester?

STEVE FACE LIGHTS UP AGAIN.

ALLAN
(Shaking his head)
No.

EXT. OUTSIDE SANDWICH STALL.

STEVE STANDS LEANING ON THE STALLS COUNTER. WE SEE A SIGN ABOVE HIS HEAD, "EARL OF SANDWICHES".

ALLAN WALKS UP TO HIM.

STEVE
I hate sandwiches.

ALLAN NODS HIS HEAD.

END.

I like this one. It's simple and funny.

Pretty much nailed it so no advice necessary.

Dan

Thanks Dan. I wasn't to sure about this, it was one of those that sounded funnier in my head then written down.

Yes, on the one hand it was funny but on the other hand, Little Britain did it first with Andy and Lou.

I forgot about them and the, "I don't like it." bit. But actually I don't think it is the same. Andy does it to annoy Lou, Steve did it in mine because he's an idiot.

Unless you're saying they actually did a sketch with him wanting to open a sandwich stall, I wouldn't know because I stopped watching it after the first series.

Thanks for pointing that out anyway.

I can't see the similarity to Andy & Lou myself.
