When did BBC change their mind? I thought they had axed it?

Well the BCG was told it had been recommissioned in September 2009.

We're expecting it to broadcast early in the new year I think.

Are you sure it was September of last year? I first heard the BBC had a change of mind when Mack himself announced it at show last December.

Well - funny as he is I do think the BBC would have decided before he announced it.

Yep, I'm sure!

Yeh I think they probably would have. ;)

But, when he announced it I thought that was the first time it had been publicly announced. Thus, I was surprised to hear BCG had known 3 months before.

It probably was the first time it had been publicly announced when you heard, yes.

They're in the studio tonight as it happens.

I read that a Christmas special had been comfirmed, so wouldn't that mean that the rest of the series would be broadcast in time for the Christmas episode to be shown around Christmas, at the end?

Not necessarily. A Christmas special could come before, after, or even during the 'proper' run. Of late convention has been for specials to follow, but it's by no means a set rule - and of course that's assuming that the special was commissioned for this Christmas!

Aw. But I don't want to wait till the New Year. :(

Oh, well. I'll just have to make do with my DVDs of series 1-3. Cool

Lee's stated on The Graham Norton Show tonight that Not Going Out Series 4 starts in January.

Well, that's not that long, I guess. Pleased

Wait... He was on Graham Norton?

*runs off to iPlayer*

Looking forward to this. It is probably my favourite studio sitcom.

Same here, Samcheese.

Porn and dream sequences? I can't wait! :D

*shameless fangirl moment*

Has Mack lost weight? He looked great on Graham Norton. Lovey

Hey all,
Writing to you from the land of Oz! Loving this show. Don't think there's been a comedy that funny in a long long time.

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on whether the combined Series 1, 2 & 3 DVD contains any extras or if it's just all of the episodes (including the Christmas specials?). Having said that the episodes alone are probably enough! And I guess do the individual series DVDs have any extras at all?

Can't believe how good this series is and really looking forward to seeing Series 4 at some stage. So happy to hear it's already being recorded!

Thanks for any info.
Josh
