NHS needs largish increases in funding each other.
Any cut has the same effect as pretty major cuts.
NHS Doesn't need more money, it just needs to be run better. It will definitely suffer from any cuts to funding.
The NHS is a perfect case of institutional indulgement and unnecessary bloat.

Simple. So that they can get more for the same amount (or marginally more) cash.
If the NHS would turn poor people away to die, they could save money. Especially poor people on benefits.. which would be a double-whammy!
