.

The Spiderman movies were pretty good, even the much maligned third one.

The third one was so bad very, very bad.

I quite liked Bryan Singer's Superman reboot, although I accept I'm probably alone in this.

It was okay, but I couldn't properly buy that guy as Superman, he looked younger than the bloke in Smallville!

Superman's a difficuly superhero to pull off as he's pretty bland.

I'm like most of the Batman movies. We've had four great ones, and two shit ones; I'll let you guess which were the shit one, but one included nipples on the batsuit, a Batman credit card and Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl. *Shudders* It was not 'Ice, to see it.'

I think it was because it was supposed to follow on from the first couple of Reeves one, that's what the Director said, so Routh just felt to young looking. I did enjoy it though, and that plane sequence was amazing.

I wonder what the version that was going to star Nic Cage would have been like?!

It's probably fake, but this pic of Cage doing a costume test has been on the internet for a while:

Cool if he'd played him as nutball as The Bad Luietenant.

Some more bad franchises include: Transformers and The Fantastic Four. The Fantastic four was a real waste of some great characters, while Transformers... Why?

His was the illfated rebrabding of Superman. Where Clark gets a cold and wakes up as a capeless, blue on blue Superman who rather than fly turns hislef into a lightning bolt.

Good comedy franchises: The Office and the Pink Panther.

Bad comedy franchises: Saved By The Bell. Not only was there the first awful series, but it spawned two more shows, Saved By The Bell: The College Years and Saved By The Bell: The New Class. :S

Thought you were describing a film called

An Officer and a Pink Panther.

That would be cool with Richard Gere carrying off Inspector CLousaeu at the end.

And talking of Singer, isn't he rumoured to be directing a BSG movie. Which is also a pretty good franchise if you include Caprica and the camp but fun first series.

It's not BSG - It's BCG now - British Comedy Guide.

If anyone fancies a fight one day, and spreading bad feeling across the boards, I suggest they start a 'BCG: The Movie' thread and have people suggest who could play each member.

Great!
Now we know who to blame.
Matthew Stott as played by Orlando Bloom.

David Bussell as Himself? That sort of thing?

Give it time. Richard Gere and Steve Martin's careers aren't what they used to be.

I think Steve Martin wrote his stand up memoir just to remind himself that he used to be funny many moons ago.
