As more of a fan of British comedy as opposed to American, there is one show of ours that I consider the most well-written American show... Mystery Science Theater 3000. I suppose one of the reasons I liked it so much was because it had a very mid-western flavor of comedy as opposed to the manufactured Hollywood crap we get so often. It's my understanding that it did have a run in the UK, and I was wondering if any of you ever saw it and what you thought of it.
