Alan Plater 1935-2010

The popular BBC dramatist scriptwriter Alan Plater has died today of cancer. He has some great credits to his name (mostly in the field of drama such as detective shows etc.). He also has sitcom credits to his name, such as Oh No It's Selwyn Froggitt. RIP Alan.

Those Beidebecke things of his were quite enjoyable.

Most recent work was some Lewis according to his obit. I liked those. RIP.

Sad news indeed. I loved the BT. Love Bix Beiderbecke come to think of it too.
