Quick Cartoon

Hello All

Wanted to improve the speed at which I could animate. Made this 30 second cartoon in two-and-a-bit days:

Any thoughts regarding the look, voices, music (which was really, really rushed so apologies if it doesn't work. Think it needs something more energetic), whether the thing actually works or anything else most appreciated.

Cheers
Yac

I think it all worked well. I assume you're going for the look and feel (rather than material) here, so I think you're hitting the right notes as far as that was concerned.

Looked really good Yacob. Liked the voices but the voiceover at the end didn't seem to fit. The music was a bit quiet but considering the time you spent, a job well done.

Didn't look too different to some of your other stuff, Yac, and that always looks good. The only problem I had with the animation was that there was no background!

The voices were ok, but sound very similar to the voices in your other pieces. Merv 2 in particular.

Music was a bit too low in the mix to make any comment on that.

Cheers for the comments so far.

SwerytD - Suppose the material needs work then? Damn, I quite liked it (then again, I suppose I would).

Will Cam - The music's down low because I wasn't that sure of it. Listening to it this morning, to my ears, it sounds acceptable (though I'm preparing myself for someone to tell me otherwise). I might redo the VO at the end. Unfortunately I've shouted that line into my microphone so many times the neighbours are probably worrying.

Ben - Was thinking of adding a background. My reasoning behind the lack of one was that it upped the boringness (oh, turns out that really is a word) in what's meant to be a "crazy adventure". Might add an utterly random or mundane BG to it. A photograph of a thimble or something (would that work?). I'm sure I've used something like Merv 2's voice before. Would get other people in to do some voices but for something so short it's a bit of a bother.

Again, thanks for the comments so far.
