Have just seen series 1 of 'And Mother Makes Five'. I vaguely remember seeing it on TV when I was a young kid, but couldn't really remember it.
It stars Wendy Craig. She plays a similar character to her one in 'Butterflies'. But in 'And Mother Makes...' she is perhaps more extrovert and less moody. However it seems her cooking is not much good in AMM either.
I wouldn't say it was one of my favourites from what I've watched, but it is watchable. I generally find Wendy Craig very good. Aspects of it are a little weak and it is dated. But there were moments when I found myself laughing out loud without trying. Funnily, it is often when Craig is doing a solo scene. There was one silent bit that had quite a 'Mr Bean' feel I thought.
It left me thinking - yes I'd like to watch some more sometime.
